Last year I really branched out when it came to foundations, I tried and tested so many (and in the end went back to my old favourite). Being an avid wearer of double wear can sometimes lead me into wanting something just a little more sheer and dewy for those unmade-up days - enter NARS Sheer Glow which sounds like the perfect, completely opposite alternative. I knew nothing of NARS Sheer Glow before seeing it in Space NK and liking the sound of it, the assistant colour matched me and off I went with my new purchase in tow. This little story doesn't have a happy ending however, I have a bone to pick with NARS over this seemingly misleading foundation…
2013 was the biggest learning curve when it came to my knowledge of beauty, cosmetics and makeup application. I watched more youtube videos, read more beauty blogs and took part in more training courses than I ever have done before - throwing myself into the world of beauty face-on. I'm hoping to learn even more in 2014 but until then these are my top 10 tips that I learnt this year that were valuable to me all this year and probably the rest of my life. They're really super simple, I don't know why I hadn't really thought of them before or what I was doing before I did them…but hopefully they will give someone else a lightbulb moment like they did with me!

Origins Super Spot Remover

30 December 2013
I'm really wading my way through hyped cult products today aren't I. Here's Origins Super Spot Remover, which promises to heal, fade and fight blemishes fast. Usually I don't buy into blemish fighting products (they never work for me or are too strong for my skin) but the Super Spot Remover had so many rave reviews that I had to give it a go and see if it really is that good.
